Monthly Favorites: July

July Favorites :)

For the Month of July, I have a couple beauty, hair, makeup, and random items that I really enjoyed!

 My favorites list for this month wasn't quite as long as the other months although there were still

many things that I liked. If you would like to see me talk about these favorites, their will be a link at

the bottom of this post that will lead you to my YouTube video, where I go through all these

favorites.

 For now, lets hop right in! :)

 So one of my Favorite books for the month of July was " The think about the Truth" by Lauren
Barnholdt. This was a very good read, if your into the sort of tween drama and romance type of
books. This book involved two main characters, a girl named Kelsey, and a boy named Issac who are
both new to this school called Concordia Public. They both have been kicked out of private school
which is something they have in common, and they both fall for each other early in the book. But
what's exciting is as the book goes on, both of these characters are keeping secrets from each other that could ruin everything. I recommend anyone into the teen genre to check this book out! Its right down that ally and its a book that I didn't want to put down. I literally finished it in TWO DAYS! haha

These two makeup times this month were definitely my favorite. The Neutrogena shine control primer has been extremely helpful to keep my making matte all day because I  do have very oily skin. I apply this to my face after my moisturizer and before my foundation and it has really made a huge different!
 Then down below is the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation that I just started using two months ago. Before this foundation, I would only used the Covergirl liquid foundation which I had been using for 3 years. I decided to try something new, and after trying this, I have fallen in love with it so I for sure had to put this in my monthly favorites for July because I have been using this every single day.

 Alright so yes... its a little dirty but the Mad Gab's Moose balm has been a goddess for my lips! you can apply this balm to your hands, and elbows and anywhere that just needs some moisture. Well I apply this to my lips because they get chapped so easily and so badly, and this has really helped. This was actually my grandma's and ever since I started using it, my lips have really had a huge difference in them. I apply it to my lips right before I go to bed so that way when I wake up, my lips are nice and soft!
Alright so this concealer is the "Glam of Lauge" by Hard candy and I've been using this for a good 6 months.
 I apply this under my eyes because I get very bad under eye circles due to having low iron in my blood! Also I honestly don't sleep as much as I should haha. This concealer has really brightened up my eyes and made them look 10 times better (to me personally).

For Skin cared Products I have two favorites! The first is the Clean and Clear Finishes mattifying cleanser. Again this helps clean my face without drying it out, but helps take away some of the oils in my skin due to my oily skin. I don't used this to help take my makeup off, I will only use this when I have a bare face, so usually when I wake up in the morning or in the shower. I leave it on my face for 1 minute before washing it off because they say that's the best way to use it, and it has really helped!

The Second item is the Equate Dual power moisturizer, and I've been using this moisturizer for a couple years now and it has done a great job moisturizing my face without making it feel oily or anything.  I use this every morning after I was my face, and it has really helped my skin stay nice and soft. I love this stuff!

Alright those are just a few favorites mentioned in my July Favorites video. If you would like to see these favorites and many more, check out my video where  I talk about a various number of things I enjoyed this month. Thank you so much :)

Homemade Concert T- Shirts

So recently, I went to the One direction concert as you can see in my last blog post. It was an amazing and exciting expierence for me, but one of the things that made it so enjoyable for a girly girl like me, was the outfits. I love dressing up for things and any type of even going on, I always try to find something awesome and totally cute to wear.

 Well one of my really good friends, her name is Michaela, is amazing at crafts. She is amazing and incredible at doing hair, and desiging t-shirts and things like that. Unfortuantly I didn't get her t-shirt making process on camera for you all to see, but I thought I would write about the amazing T- shirts that she made for us to wear to the concert. I am giving her 100% full credit here because she did such an amazing job, and all by herself too!

So as you can see on the right side, it says Sadiebrooke, and then 1D in ombre glitter ( because we went to the one direction concert). All of the items used to make this shirt were purchased at Joanne's fabric although I am sure you could get any of the products at places like Walmart and Target. But to stay cheap, Joannes Fabric was a good place to go! ( we had a coupon).

Materials Used:

Black T- Shirt - Wet seal - $6.50
Fabric Glue - Joannes -  $4.00
Glitter - Joannes - $3.50

So making the shirts, what happened was she made a outline on paper of what the front and the back would look like. Then she took a piece of cardboard and stuck it inside the shirt so that it wouldn't crinkle and would have a hard service to draw on. Then she took the fabric glue and outlined the letters and then just sprinkled glitter of the top of it, and let it dry over night.
Shes so artsy and did an amazing job creating the "ombre look". I hope you enjoy and try this at home!

My First Concert !

So I just got home around 2:30 am this morning from the most exciting expierence! I went to my first concert! It was so much fun and I loved every moment of it! I woke up early yesterday morning and drove up to Seattle with two of my very good friends, and we had dinner around 5 and then waited for the Concert to start. Oh... Did I mention we saw ONE DIRECTION?? I am such a girly girl with the whole boyband thing, and I love it! So the concert started around 8 or so, and let me just tell you... it was so insanely packed with people and so loud! I have never heard that much screaming in my entire life... and I am obsessed with scary movies so you think I'd be used to it haha. When 1D (on direction) First came onto the stage, I literally couldn't breathe. I felt as if my life was insanely surreal. Mind you, I have never been to a concert before, let alone seen a famous person so I didn't know what was in store for me that night. Now if any of you remember your first concert, you might know what I am feeling! It was awesome :) Niall Horan, which was one of the members of the band was so cute and adorable and he would dance around on stage and it just made me smile...well.. and scream.... and die a little inside lol.  So then they performed a various number of songs from two of their albums "Up all night" and "Take me Home" and I was so in love the entire night. I cant describe how awesome I feel and I know I migh just be " Fan girling" right now, but it is just amazing about what kinds of things in life can make you realize how good you have it and how amazing life really is that I get these kinds of oppertunites to do things like this. So I encourage you to do something! Whatever it is that mkaes you happy, do it. Don't care what people think. You only have one life to live and you should live it to your best and fullest potential. Thanks for listening to me rant haha I will be posting a video from the concert soon! love you all ! <3

Being Happier in life

BEING HAPPY, LOVING LIFE:

I love being happy! WHO DOESNT? Being happy is something that  I feel everyone strives for! To be happier, to live life to the best of their ability, to the fullest right? Well I wanted to share with everyone 5 tips that I think will help make you feel good inside! I am not saying these will work for everyone but they have helped me feel great personally, and I have also seen other people do these things to make themselves feel good :) I have been through so many situations in my past that weren't so great, I feel like everyone has a point in their life where things are just kind of... crappy? But it DOES get better, that's what I've learned. But I've also learned that it doesn't just get better by itself, you have to WANT it and you have to work towards it :) I would expect others to make me happy and make me feel better when really it isn't up to them, its up t o me. I define what happiness is, and I can make myself happy. I made a video talking about 5 different ways to become happier in your life and if you would like to watch it, then I hope it helps anyone out there that doesn't feel like they are as happy as they want to be. Trust me, I am not the happiest person in the world, especially from having depression run in my family, being happy is surely something that I have to work at every single day, and trust me.. its NOT EASY. But you know what it is? Its worth it :) Your worth it! Life's worth it :)

Positive Affirmations + loving life!

So these last few months have been pretty wild for me and a literally made me think completely differently about my life. I got to a point in my life where things were just "okay". Now whats wrong with that you might ask? Honestly nothing at the time. Getting over a lot of sadness from the year before I got to a point where everything was just "okay". But I wanted to be HAPPY. I wanted to live my life to the fullest, be confident in myself and love everything about life! Have any of you ever strived for that feeling? Well I am on my own journey to discover myself, and make my life the best it can be and something that has really gotten me to feel good is saying positive affirmations. I like to say them in the morning and before bed to really open my eyes at how good life really is, especially on those days when I'm  feeling down or just "okay". I encourage everyone to say positive affirmations to themselves because they enhance this feeling inside you of encouragement and happiness! I LOVE it and a month later I am feeling so much better about myself. I have gotten to a point where  I feel like I don't need to say them anymore, but I want to keep doing it because I feel like it is a good habit to have!

Here are some of my favorite affirmations to say:

* I am beautiful

* I am capable of making wise decisions

* I trust myself

* I LOVE myself ( that's a big one that I say)

* Life is amazing

Any MANY MANY more.

Here is a link to the video where I talk about two things that  I made to be more positive, and where I also talk more about Positive affirmations! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW0MjRl4QL0&feature=c4-overview&list=UUIeI9s2MzaB7xgS8TAqhJ9g
